Without our Earth, we’re doomed. That’s why Henry Mentink believes the entire Earth should be added to the World Heritage List, and he’s now walking to UNESCO in Paris over the course of 45 days to literally offer up the Earth in his wheelbarrow. He’s setting out on Earth Day (April 22) from Varik. By May 11, he’ll be nearly halfway there, and we’ll meet him in Mons in southern Belgium.
What is the power of his down-to-earth approach, in which he takes very concrete steps to raise awareness about caring for the Earth? How does he exercise his leadership in this regard? In breakout groups, we’ll explore what we ourselves can do. What is our own relationship with the Earth? What role could we play in helping more people realize that there is only one planet like ours?
